Gravity cast aluminum alloy with 18% silicon to increase resistance to wear and decrease thermal distortion, thus providing a longer piston life. Coated skirts ease break-in, decreasing wear, and aiding in lubrication. Wear resistant piston rings that are either nitride or chrome plated. Wrist pins are nitride coated providing a hardened wear resistant bearing surface. Piston rings are compatible with OEM pistons. Replacement rings are sold individually. Piston kits include piston, rings, wrist pin, and circlips.
